FLUOROPOLYMER

KYNAR FLEX® 2800

KYNAR FLEX® 2800, polyvinylidene fluoride (PDVF), flexible copolymer intrinsically resistant to light, heat, aging, and self-extinguishing UL94 V0. It is resistant to many commonly used industrial fluids and gases, including ozone, and does not promote fungal growth. Its resistance to ozone makes it an ideal product for disinfection processes that use this gas. It is one of the food grades of our production.

P F A

Flexible perfluoroalkoxy ( PFA ) tube is intrinsically resistant to light, heat, aging, and self-extinguishing UL94 V0. E 'the thermoplastic tube suitable for the most demanding applications, where the chemical resistance combines temperatures ranging from -60 to 260 ° C. It can be installed with any type of fitting, is c chemically inert to most chemicals and industrial solvents, and has the lowest permeability among the fluoropolymers we produce. Its transparency makes it ideal for those applications where it is necessary to monitor the fluid flow.

P T F E

Flexible Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) pipe, intrinsically resistant to light, heat, aging, and self-extinguishing UL94 V0. It is the most flexible of the fluoropolymers in our range and the most stable in the very wide range of temperatures at which it can work. It is famous for its chemical resistance which makes it usable also in contact with or for the passage of highly corrosive liquids and gases, even at high temperatures. The smooth, self-lubricated surface has a very low coefficient of friction. On the other hand, the dimensional tolerances are not small enough to allow installation with quick couplings and the length of the coils can be limited according to your needs because it depends on the capacitive lot of the RAM extruder. It is also a material that hardly adapts to dynamic applications and its transparency varies a lot from lot to lot. Last negative note, with a view to circular economy and respect for the environment, it is right to underline how production waste and disposal or regeneration are decidedly more difficult and expensive than all the other materials we process.

KYNAR® PVDF HD 4000

KYNAR® HD 4000 pipe, rigid vinylidene

polyfluoride (PDVF). Among the PVDF products, it is the most resistant to abrasion and temperature and boasts excellent mechanical resistance in use with many chemicals and solvents. It is a material intrinsically existing to light, heat, aging as well as being intrinsically self-extinguishing UL94 V0.

More and more technical applications in aggressive environments in terms of temperature, chemical agents, and atmospheric conditions have meant that fluoropolymers find more and more space on the market. These are polymers with very high performance, but with high costs, both of the raw material and of the production. Depending on the relationship between carbon and fluorine and also on the basis of the arrangement of these in the molecular structure, there are different products with different characteristics. Speaking of chemical resistance and use at low and high temperatures, the father of all fluoropolymers is PTFE whose operating temperatures can range from -260 to + 260 ° C and also has almost complete inertness towards most of the known chemical reagents. Following in order of importance, among the fluoropolymers are PFA, FEP, and PVDF.
